Building permits, July 2015
Building permits issued by municipalities edged down 0.6% to $7.7 billion in July, following a 15.5% increase in June. Lower construction intentions in the non-residential sector, mainly in Ontario and Alberta, accounted for much of the decrease at the national level.
University tuition fees, 2015/2016
Canadian full-time students in undergraduate programs paid 3.2% more on average in tuition fees for the 2015/2016 academic year this fall than they did the previous year. The increase is slightly lower than the 3.3% rise observed in 2014/2015.
Crude oil and natural gas: Supply and disposition, June 2015
Canada produced 18.0 million cubic metres of crude oil and equivalent products in June, up 2.6% compared with the same month in 2014.
Employer pension plans (trusteed pension funds), first quarter 2015
The market value of Canadian employer-sponsored pension funds totalled $1.6 trillion at the end of the first quarter, up 6.9% from the fourth quarter of 2014.
Agricultural Water Survey, 2014
Agricultural producers used approximately 1.7 billion cubic metres of water to irrigate their crops in 2014, the same amount reported in 2012.
