Indigenous women-led enterprise Heart in Hand one of eight companies to receive grant
A Thunder Bay entrepreneur is among eight women from across Canada to receive business growth funding from the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB).
Ojibwe creator Abigail Rutledge, the proprietor of Heart in Hand, creates and sells beaded earrings and other accessories.
She’s received $2,500 from the organization’s Indigenous Women Entrepreneurship Fund (IWEF), along with a one-year CCIB membership, which provides access to business development tools, resources, and a national network.
