Toni Heron defeats Frieda Martselos in Salt River First Nation election – Cabin Radio

Toni Heron has been elected to a new term as Salt River First Nation’s chief according to the One Feather digital voting platform.
Heron received 185 votes according to preliminary results, securing another term having been previously elected in 2022.
Challenger Frieda Martselos, the former MLA for the Thebacha region and a past chief, received 136 votes.
