Have you ever been at your job and had the feeling that you’re being set up to fail?
It’s terrible to have the feeling that no matter what you do or how hard you try, a project you’ve been assigned is going to lack support, purpose, and ultimately going to come up short.
This is how a toxic workplace is created, for feelings of being “set up to fail” spawns a vicious cycle of resentment, conflict, and, eventually, disappointment for all concerned.
This is pretty much the universal feeling surrounding the federal Indigenous Advisory Council (IAC), announced last week by the Carney government as part of its Major Projects Office.
