Welcoming Katie Tucker to JFK Law

Press Release

May 1st, 2025

We are thrilled to announce that Katie Tucker has joined JFK Law LLP as a Partner.

Katie comes to us with an impressive background, where she specialized in negotiating and litigating the protection and promotion of Aboriginal and treaty rights. Her extensive work on both historic and modern treaty implementation issues, particularly regarding lands and resources, has distinguished her as a leading litigator in the field. Katie has also served as in-house counsel for an Inuit treaty organization and practiced with two Montreal firms specializing in Indigenous rights.

Katie has also contributed to academia as a Sessional Instructor in the Indigenous Studies program at McGill University, teaching History and Development of Aboriginal Law in Canada. She has published and provided Continuing Legal Education on the duty to consult and accommodate, Aboriginal rights in relation to International Trade Agreements, and Indigenous Restorative Justice.

She will be out of our Toronto office, working remotely in Montreal until our new Montreal office is open in June 2025.

We are thrilled to have someone of Katie’s caliber join our firm, and we look forward to the contributions she will make to our team. Please join us in welcoming Katie Tucker to JFK Law LLP.
