WKR’s Koaha-Laube meets with Governor General and Arctic Ambassador in Tromsø – WKR
WKR’s Kassidy Koaha-Laube met with Governor General Mary Simon and Arctic Ambassador Virginia Mearns at the Arctic Frontiers Conference, which opened yesterday in Tromsø, Norway.
Koaha-Laube spoke with Governor General Simon about the importance of infrastructure in the Canadian Arctic for security and defence, but also for economic development. Koaha-Laube and Simon first met on a 2013 expedition to Greenland, where the Governor General is next headed to open the new Canadian consulate in Nuuk.
